Pakistan side Lahore Lions issued Indian visa for CLT20

Lahore Lions have been cleared by the Indian government to play in the Champions League Twenty20, with the Pakistan club issued visas and likely to arrive in India on September 9.
Champions of Pakistan's domestic T20 competition, Lions will play the qualifiers to be held before the main tournament. "The Indian High Commission has issued visas and we have received the tickets for the Lahore Lions to travel to India on schedule on September 9," an official of the Board told PTI.
"It means that we can now also discuss the issue of Pakistani players being allowed in the IPL and the bilateral series agreement," he said.

The team is expected to arrive in India on September 9 and will be part of the qualifying round beginning September 13. (Agencies )

The team boasts of star players like skipper Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz and Ahmed Shehzad who are regulars in Pakistan's national squad.
The Lions will fight for a place in the main round with IPL powerhouse Mumbai Indians, Sri Lanka's Southern Express and New Zealand side Northern Districts - beginning their campaign against MI on September 13.
