Both players picked up minor injuries in Barcelona’s resounding win at Levante and could be rested for their visit to Andalusia
Barcelona may be without both Neymar and Ivan Rakitic when they face Malaga in midweek after the pair suffered knocks during Sunday’s 5-0 victory over Levante.
Neymar was substituted with an ankle injury in Valencia, while Rakitic suffered bruising to his left foot. Both players were on the scoresheet but underwent physiotherapy on Monday, according to the Blaugrana’s official website.
The duo’s progress will be monitored by club doctors to see whether they can re-join first-team training ahead of Wednesday’s visit to La Rosaleda.
Barcelona currently sit top of La Liga with a 100 per cent start to the campaign, while Malaga occupy 11th position and are without a win in three outings.
